Hi Ric,
Your post got me thinking about my PC status for next year. Any ideas on how to get some points in the next 3 months to maintain status?
(Specifically to me: I’m 12K short of Platinum and have no hotel stays at IHG planned for the rest of the year. I don’t want to get a credit card wither.) Any advice is appreciated?
P.S. I think this is the perfect time of year for travel bloggers to roll out a “how to maintain status” post! 🙂
Priority Club counts points earned for elite status which means you can buy 12,000 points or earn them through Priority Club shopping portal.
I have hardly shopped this year which my wife keeps reminding me about when she sees my crappy wardrobe, but of course she is more concerned about buying clothes for herself.
I see there are some Halloween type shops offering 15 points per $1.
Buying points might be the cheapest route without hotel stays.
Thatnk, Ric. Buying points would cost me ~$150. Not sure Platinum status is really worth that… 🙁
