Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel

Men and younger guests, I am told, prefer the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel  to the Renaissance Harbourside across the street for its more vibrant business environment, larger bathroom with separate shower and tub, and simpler color scheme.

Women and older people prefer the Renaissance Harbourside across the street for its more intimate lobby environment, its large workout space in the fitness room, patio doors that open and its color therapy tones.  Loyalty Traveler took a look at both hotels and you can decide for yourself where to spend your money or points.

Being a simple mix and match kind of guy, I found desirable features in both hotels. I love the separate shower and tub, but the patio doors that open at the Renaissance trump most other room features for me.

There are three residential towers between the hotel and water resulting in partially obstructed harbor views. The hotel is in close proximity to the Vancouver Convention Center.

I am in Seattle and heading to Oregon today.

Shame to see rioting occur after a sporting event. Sometimes it even happens in the city that wins.

Being in Vancouver Friday night after the game 5 win was a special moment as a tourist to see the crowds so happy.
