Free internet at Asia Pacific hotels for all Marriott Rewards members is a new program change. The hotel brands included for this benefit are JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Renaissance Hotels and Courtyard by Marriott hotels. Ritz-Carlton Rewards members receive complimentary internet at these brands too. (AsiaPR News)
Only the standard internet access plan is free at hotels where there are different internet access plan levels.
Participating Asia Pacific countries include:
- Australia
- China (and Hong Kong)
- Guam
- India
- Indonesia
- Japan
- Malaysia
- Philippines
- Singapore
- South Korea
- Thailand
- Vietnam
Outside of Asia Pacific region complimentary internet is only applicable for Gold and Platinum elite members at JW Marriott, Renaissance and Marriott hotels. All Courtyard Hotels as a brand feature have free internet access in the lobby according to the amenities shown on Courtyard website.
This seems like it is for new members; it does not ask me for my Marriott number.
The Press Release says the change is for all Marriott Rewards members at Asia Pacific hotels. I added a link to AsiaPRNews.com with April 28 story. http://asiaprnews.com/2011/04/28/44401
I don’t see it mentioned on US Marriott site.
Hola! I’ve been reading your web site for some time now and finally got the bravery to go ahead and give you a shout out from Austin Tx! Just wanted to tell you keep up the great work!
Austin is a place I look forward to visiting. I should have done SXSW before it ballooned into such a massive event.
