Best Western 250 free American or Aeroplan miles, up to 5x miles per stay April 17-June 5

Best Western Rewards Jump Start to Summer promotion allows newly enrolled members to earn 250 miles for free. First, I will explain the main promotion for a $50 Travel Card and then cover the better promotion value of airline miles and up to 1,250 miles per stay throughout the promotion period.

$50 Best Western Travel card after 3 stays

You can earn a $50 Best Western Travel Card after three hotel stays at any of the 4,000+ Best Western hotels worldwide between April 17 and June 5, 2011. There is a promotion limit of one Travel Card earned per member during this promotion. Member must redeem the Travel Card by November 1, 2011.

Also, members earn 6,500 bonus points if payment for three stays made with Best Western Rewards MasterCard.

The frequent flyer miles component of Best Western’s “Jump Start to Summer†promotion offers airline bonus miles for American or Aeroplan on top of the standard 250 miles per stay for members with an earning preference for miles:

• New Member Enrollment in Best Western Rewards = 250 miles (This is the free miles aspect of this offer. You can sign up as a new Best Western Rewards member and register for Jump Start to Summer to earn 250 miles, even if you do not stay at any Best Western hotels during this promotion.)
• First Stay = 500 bonus miles.
• Second Stay = 750 bonus miles.
• Third Stay and Each Stay thereafter = 1,000 bonus miles

250 miles for new member enrollment + 750 miles (First stay = 250 miles + 500 bonus miles) + 1,000 miles (second stay = 250 base miles + 750 bonus miles) + 1,250 miles (third stay = 250 base miles + 1,000 bonus miles) = 3,250 AAdvantage miles after three stays.

This promotion offers a new member 3,250 miles after three hotel stays (3,000 total miles for existing members) and 1,250 miles for every additional stay during the promotion period.

I personally was confused on how to register for the miles component of this promotion. I changed my earning preference to American AAdvantage miles online, but I still couldn’t find the registration link. I went through customer service on the phone to register and my account now shows airline miles. Afterwards, I located the registration links for the two bonus miles choices shown above.

Loyalty Traveler promotion rating is 3-keys. This is a good value loyalty promotion for miles on relatively low priced hotel stays at more than 4,000 hotels worldwide. And for new enrollees 250 free miles is a 5-key offer.
