Hotel Loyalty 2010 Summer Promotions Hyatt Hotels

Hyatt Gold Passport Best of All Worlds Facebook Sweepstakes

Best of All Worlds is Hyatt Gold Passport’s social media game running from July 6 through July 28 on Facebook. Simply  enter by submitting a photo on the Hyatt Resorts Facebook page by July 26. Five winners will receive 44,000 points each – enough points for a two-night stay at the new category 6 Gold Passport hotel properties. The hotels are not new – the category 6 is the new high end free night award as of June 4, 2010.

This contest is only open to US legal residents of the 50 states and D.C.

Best of All Worlds entry page on Facebook. (Note: you need to be registered with Facebook).

There are 46 Hyatt Resorts globally with 20 resorts in the USA.

The photo should depict an activity you would like to do while at a Hyatt Resort. The photo does not need to be from a Hyatt Hotel, although you probably should avoid the signage of another hotel brand in your photo if you want to win. There are detailed rules describing what is not acceptable in your photo entry.

You do not even need to submit your own photo. Hyatt allows you to select a photo from their Hyatt activity photos album for your entry.  The primary advantage of using your own photo is the opportunity to win a 7,000 points prize by tagging yourself from your own photo after it is posted to the Hyatt Resorts Facebook page. There are 10 prizes for 7,000 points each given out during the contest for photos that are tagged with your identity.

The Odd Aspect of This Promotion

The five 44,000 point winners are not randomly selected from all the entries for this promotion. The five winners are selected from the Hyatt Resort with the most entrants selecting the property as their favorite resort.

I went with Grand Hyatt Kauai since that is the first hotel in the list and also a highly popular resort. I assume you could wait until the end of the contest and you might have a better idea which resort to pick to improve your odds of winning.
