Hilton HHonors has launched a fall 2009 Q4 promotion offer with a choice of 25,000 bonus points after 4 hotel stays or double base points from October 5 through December 31, 2009.  Promotion points are limited at 75,000 points for the promotional period.

Registration is required before stays are eligible at HiltonHHonors.com/pickoffer2009. Reservations made prior to registration are eligible as long as member registers before the actual stay. Retroactive credit is not available.

HHonors award stays at all Hilton brands, except Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites, will count as an eligible stay for this promotion as long as there are incidental charges during the award stay.

According to HHonors Representative on FlyerTalk:

If you are staying at Hilton®, Conrad® Hotels and Resorts, Doubletree®, Embassy Suites®, Hilton Garden Inn®, Hilton Grand Vacations®, or the Waldorf Astoria hotels, and you have incidental charges, you will receive the bonus points for the Q4 offer.

If you are staying at Hampton Inn®, Hampton Inn & Suites® or Homewood Suites by Hilton® hotel, and you have incidental charges, you will not receive the bonus points for the Q4 offer.

Be sure to buy some food or coffee to earn a few dollars on your award stay.

Double Base Points or 25,000 points after 4 Stays – Which is better choice?

Double base points means an extra 10 points per dollar in hotel spend. The regular earning of 10 points per dollar in base points, points and points preference, and elite bonus points will remain the same regardless of the promotion preference you choose.

Basically the choice of 25,000 bonus points or Double base points becomes a question of whether you will complete 4 hotel stays during the promotion period.

1.       Will you complete 4 hotel stays during promotion period?

No – Choose Double Base Points

Yes – Go to question 2

2.       Will you spend more than $2,500 in 7 or fewer hotel stays; more than $5,000 in 8 to 11 stays; or $7,500+ during promotion period?

No – Choose 25,000 points per four stays.

Yes – Choose Double Base Points

Most members will earn more points through the 25,000 points per four stays promotion. And remember that award stays count as long as you have incidental charges and the award stay is not a Hampton Inn or Homewood Suites.
