IHG Rewards Club reduced the price of points to $10 per 1,000 when buying 26,000 to 60,000 points. I noticed the lower price on March 19 when I posted about the IHG Rewards Club 100% bonus points flash sale $5.00 per 1,000 points rate. Previously the lowest rate was $11.50 per 1,000 points when buying 26,000 or more points.
Then, I forgot about that IHG deal when I came down with the flu and spent two weeks feeling pretty vacant.
Today, I checked to find the $10 per 1,000 points rate still listed as the regular price of IHG Rewards Club points when buying 26,000 or more points. This means IHG Rewards Club points will likely be available at low prices in 2018 when there is another bonus points offer.

26,000 = $260.00.
With this as the new base price for IHG Rewards Club points means there may be another good opportunity at some point in 2018 to buy as many as 120,000 points for $600 during a 100% bonus points sale.
Here are more past buy points bonus points offers with IHG Rewards Club over the last six months that I received and some other bloggers reported. Some of these are targeted offers since I am aware of other IHG members receiving different offers than I received.
IHG 75% bonus points would be $5.71 per 1,000 points at new $10 rate when buying 26,000 or more points.
IHG 80% to 100% bonus points Flash Sale Dec 20-21, 2017 would be $5.00 or $5.56 per 1,000 points.
IHG 80% bonus points Aug 17-Sep 12, 2017 would be $5.56 per 1,000 points at $10 per 1,000 points rate.
No wonder IHG Rewards Club points did not sell out during yesterday’s Daily Getaways.

On a side note, several blogs have reported 15% discounts on IHG Points+Cash rewards over the past few months. These were targeted offers. I did not receive either of the past two discount offers for 15% off the cash portion with these reduced Points+Cash rates offers. I wonder if my exclusion from these discount offers was due to one of my IHG Accelerate tasks on the last two Accelerate promotions being a task to stay at an IHG hotel on a Points+Cash rate?

The other change I only noticed this week after searching Choice Privileges reward rates around Europe is it looks like Choice Hotels websites across different countries show any individual hotel’s seasonal reward rates at the bottom of the page.
Choice Privileges reward rates at most hotels change price every couple of months and many hotels have different reward rates on weekdays compared to weeknights.
My article on Tuesday about Choice Privileges Daily Getaways suggested checking the Choice Hotels Canada website to find seasonal reward rates. There was a period of time in 2016 and 2017 when reward rates for any hotel were not posted for upcoming seasons. No need to go to ChoiceHotels.ca anymore to find seasonal reward rates.
