This post includes a map of 55 Best Western hotels in top tier BW Premier Collection and next tier BW Premier hotels. Best Western Rewards Fall 2017 promotion includes an offer to book one night for 10,000 points at any Best Western hotel in North America for a stay Nov 1, 2017 to Jan 31, 2018. This promotion motivated me to take a closer look at 55 of the best of Best Western hotels in the USA and Canada.

I have stayed at several Best Western Premier Collection and Premier hotels over the past few years. I have been satisfied with all these hotel stays. I even found some impressive BW Plus tier hotels in my travels.

Two hotels on the map that interest me for a 10,000 points reward night are BW Premier Collection The Dana on Mission Beach in San Diego and BW Premier Grand Canyon Squire Inn for a trip to the national park. There are many other good looking hotels, but I don’t have plans for much USA travel by Jan 31, 2018. Hopefully you can take advantage of a reduced price Best Western reward night too.

The only hotel on this map I have stayed at is BW Premier Collection Prestige Oceanfront Resort in Sooke, British Columbia on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island.

Go west from Victoria for Best Western Premier Prestige Oceanfront Resort Sooke (May 1, 2015).

Per the BW Diamond Desk 😉 the rates to book rooms at the 10,000 point level won’t be loaded for a while (as late as mid-October). If you have enough points to book at the full rate, you can do so now, then change the booking when the reduced point offering is loaded.

I’m not sure how good a guide the BW branding is to find their best hotel in the US – there are some very nice (and very expensive) BW hotels that are branded as regular BW hotels.
When I tried to understand the brand tiers, I looked at their brand guidelines and they are not necessarily what I’d look for, ie the height of the headboard, etc. I’d bet there are a few very successful BW hotels that didn’t bother do renovate to the new standards…
I found them to be much more useful for newly built BW hotels in Asia – if it says Premier on the outside, be prepared to be impressed…

i have stayed at a few of the hotels on this list.

I have stayed at the grand canyon location—this is just outside the park and connected to the bus shuttle system in the park. next to it is a holiday inn express. Both hotels are decent places and the point price vs hotel price is a good value. In DEC/JAM during winter the prices are cheaper but the point dont adjust much so the 10K is a good deal.

I have also stayed at the Kansas City hotel listed. Its a decent hotel and relatively new. ITs built in an area of suburban KC where you have the Kansas speedway, the soccer team stadium, and a summer outdooor conceert amphitheater, as well as a large shopping area and a large casino. This is the kind of hotel that should have high variability in point pricing like it has higher rates the weekend of the 2 weekends of the nascar races

I am not sure what criteria they were using. Some of these locations are overpriced because of what is there, not the quality of the hotel.

The one listed in Puyallup, WA is an ok hotel but its older and worn. the mall is walking distances from the state fair grounds in puyallup that has a state fair one weekend in April and thru much of september. Outside the fair there are regular events that happen on the weekend using parts of the fair grounds like around christams there is a christmas arts and crafts thing in a few of the buildings. The hotel is also the closest chain hotel to Mt Rainier national park (50 miles drive to the main park entrance. Its about 20 miles from the northwest corner of the park and its northwest entrance that isnt used much.
