Choice Privileges reward rates increased in Europe

Choice Privileges raised the reward rates for several hotels in Nice, Paris and Prague sometime in the past two weeks. I know this because I checked hotel reward rates in these three cities August 20-24 and saved screen shots for dates in October. Reward night rates are higher now for most of the hotels for the same October dates.

Plus, I wrote an article August 24 on Paris hotel deals using Choice Privileges points and listed the seasonal and weekend reward rates from August 25 to January 31, 2018 for 9 Choice brand hotels in Pais. Six of these hotels now display higher reward night rates.

Choice Privileges Reward Rates in Nice, France

• Comfort Hotel Galaxie – Nice St. Laurent Du Var unchanged.
• Quality Hotel Mediteranee Menton increased from 8,000 to 10,000 points.
• Clarion Suites Cannes Croisette increased from 12,000 to 16,000 points.

Today I see higher rates for reward nights at 10 of 16 hotels in Nice and Paris France and Prague, Czech Republic for the same October dates compared to rates I checked August 20-24.

I assume there are many more hotels around Europe with higher reward rates for stays over the next few months. Nordic Choice Hotels are the exception. Nordic Choice Hotels maintain a year-round reward rate with few adjustments seen over the past four years. There are about 180 Nordic Choice Hotels, primarily in Norway and Sweden with a few hotels in Denmark, Finland and Baltic countries.

I have not noticed any hotels in Europe where reward rates decreased with the recent seasonal adjustments.

https://www.choicehotels.ca/ is the Canada website for Choice Hotels. The US website does not display seasonal reward rates. You can find seasonal reward rates for any Choice Hotel through the Canadian website by checking the hotel’s home page.

On August 24, when I wrote my Paris article, reward night rates at Comfort Hotel Paris La Fayette were 8,000 points every night of the week from Sep 16-Nov 30.
