IHG PointBreaks list Oct 31-Jan 31 for $28.75 room nights

IHG Rewards Club blog posted a PointBreaks preview list of hotels for reward nights at 5,000 points per night for stays from October 31 to January 31, 2017. The new hotels will load these low reward rates sometime between today and Monday.

The reason I added $28.75 room nights to post title is a current sale on IHG Rewards Club points with 100% bonus points drops the price of 5,000 points to as low as $28.75 to buy 5,000 points through November 16. The $5.75 per 1,000 points purchase rate kicks in when you buy 52,000 points for $299.00. Those points are sufficient for 10 reward nights on PointBreaks. You can buy up to 120,000 points during this sale.

Holiday Inn Express Tehachapi, California is one hotel on the list that I will book as soon as possible for a road trip I have planned to Las Vegas. That is a great half-way place to stop on the 525 mile drive from Monterey to Las Vegas, before tackling the long Mojave Desert drive. This time I’ll drive slow.

Internationally, I would love to book the Crowne Plaza Belgrade, Serbia. Kelley has her sights on returning to Krakow, Poland on our next Europe trip during this PointBreaks time period. I doubt I can convince her Belgrade would be an interesting alternative place to visit this winter. The fact that I got her to visit Lithuania and Poland this year were baby steps for her international travel. Serbia might be pushing our travel too far out of her comfort zone.
