Lot Polish Airlines, a Star Alliance member airline, has offered regular sales on European routes in recent months. This week’s sale looks like one of the lowest yet encompassing discount fares to several cities across western and eastern Europe. Many of these routes are more than $200 lower than next lowest ticket price.
I used to think a stopover in Warsaw would be a real drag, especially an overnight stay, but I have a different attitude after spending a week last month in Krakow. Poland is a happening tourist destination and prices are inexpensive and affordable for Americans to dine, shop and sleep in a hotel. You can generally find a ticket without an overnight stopover, but you may find 22 hours in Warsaw a worthwhile experience.
