Expedia.nz $390 to $615 USD IAD/JFK–South Africa CPT/DUR/JNB Aug-Dec

There is a low fare deal happening on New Zealand’s expedia.co.nz site today with round trip tickets on South African Airways from Washington Dulles IAD and New York JFK pricing from $390 for IAD-JNB up to $615 for JFK to Cape Town for travel from August to December. The parameters I have searched show availability from as early as August 17 to early December.

$390.12 USD ($544.20NZD) Nov 9-23 (November seems to have lowest fares).

South African Airways Washington IAD – Cape Town, South Africa

$593.43 USD ($828.00 NZD) Aug 17-31 Aug 17 is earliest date I found for this deal.

Nov looks like lowest fares. IAD – Durban $477USD round trip Nov 9-23 on expedia.nz.

South African Airways Washington IAD – Durban DUR, South Africa

$413.63 USD ($577.00 NZD) November 9-23

After running some errands I got back home to see these fares are still available. I checked fares from California as I contemplated whether this deal is good enough to warrant buying a ticket from California to IAD.

Fares from San Jose to Johannesburg are pricing on Google Flights at $750 Delta and Lufthansa for fall travel available through regular airline’s own websites.

The $390 ticket price Washington IAD – Johannesburg looks like a great deal, but for west coast people $750 to Johannesburg is also a good deal without any concern over whether the low $390 fares IAD-JNB will be honored by Expedia New Zealand.

Washington IAD – Durban for $413 USD or Cape Town are not low fares from San Jose SJC and still worth considering a ticket to IAD to take advantage of the low fares from IAD to South Africa.
