Sigh, say Ric, who would want Club Pesos these days? I just scoped out travel for family in half dozen different locations, and with rare exceptions, (like Fresno) the club carlson offerings were pathetic, grotesquely over-priced (by points) and utterly uninteresting (in terms of amenities). Sure, there’s still a precious few overseas places I’d want to use cc places — alas, they’re in political nightmare zones. (Egypt, Tunisia)

Any assessments on the looming death of Club Carlson? (I have 300k of residual CC points across family accounts — and just not finding places I want to use them anymore. Oh, and yes, Melbourne Florida Radisson — been there, done that — twice, going on thrice…. getting old)

@escot – I primarily find value in Club Carlson with 2-for-1 paid rates in Europe. I have not stayed in a U.S. hotel since early last year in Salt Lake City and it was a miserable stay.

Next month I complete the last of my 2-for-1 redemptions in Stockholm booked in May 2015 for 100,000 points. Those Stockholm hotels are now 280,000 points for the same stays.

I have a couple of 2-for-1 paid rates lined up in Norway for later in 2016.
