British Airways business class $1,200 tickets from SFO to Italy deal expired in the past hour before 10am PT. Delta still has low Biz fares from select airports in the USA to Germany and other places, except Spain looks like it dropped out along with the BA Italy Biz fares. Now I can get back to my bread and butter economy fare deals. In addition to the AARP $400 Business Class discount for British Airways, there is also a $65 AARP discount on British Airways economy class tickets and $130 discount on BA Premium economy tickets.
Anyone can join AARP and purchase BA tickets through their special reservation booking link and the discount is calculated automatically off eligible fares. I renewed my membership back in March primarily to be able to get this AARP BA discount rate.

Missed Italy? How about flying to the rest of Europe on cheap BA economy tickets
While the BA Business Class deal offered cheap tickets to Italy and Malta, there is currently a much wider sale to airports across Europe with Oneworld airlines.
From California ticket prices to London are around $650 round trip after the AARP $65 discount is applied.

Prices were about the same at $646 from New York JFK for dates I checked.
Since so many cities across Europe are on sale, this is also a good opportunity to book an open-jaw ticket to fly into London and back to the USA from a different airport for around the same ticket price as London alone.

British Airways Premium Economy World Traveller Plus
I tried several Premium Economy itineraries (World Traveller Plus), however the prices were about $500 more round trip and I could not find a low fare flight back from London in Premium Economy that offered the AARP discount. The total fare was in the $1,000 to $1,100 range. Some economy itineraries I saw from New York JFK allowed purchased upgrade to Premium economy for lower one way price at $150.

These are random cities I picked to random places in Europe and this short list should give you the correct impression that these $600s round trip economy fares are available from across the USA to airports across Europe for travel from late August into 2017.
