Honestly, I never heard of Nickelodeon Suites Resort Orlando until reading a story today in the Orlando Sentinel that this hotel rebrands June 1, 2016 to Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites and Waterpark. The 777-suites resort property is currently undergoing a $30 million renovation to bring the hotel to IHG Holiday Inn standards. Rooms have a mini-frig, microwave and 42-inch HDTV. The resort has two waterparks with 13 slides and flumes and a large arcade for kids and pool bar for adults.
TripAdvisor was not too kind to the Nickelodeon Resort with 3.5 circles out of 5 and currently ranked #233 of 349 Orlando hotels after 4,399 reviews.
Standard suite room rates for a Two Queen Bed two-room suite (6 person maximum) appear to be around $170 to $200 per night for summer months on weeknights and $200 to $230 weekends, dropping to under $110 to $130 on September weeknights and $125 to $140 on weekends. There is a $25 resort fee tacked on to the nightly room rate and 12.5% hotel tax.
