Air Berlin Flash Sale today Vienna, Zurich and Germany to New York and Chicago one way $165 to $200 June to Nov

This is an act fast deal if I understand Air Berlin’s German website that today’s flash sale ends at 1800 Germany time on Sunday May 29 (12noon ET, 9am Pacific time). The deal is there are dates from June to November for Air Berlin one way flights to New York JFK and Chicago ORD from several German airports, Zurich and Vienna for 149 to 178 EUR.

This deal is only one way to the USA, not from the USA to Europe. It is 1500 hours in Germany as I type this post.

The fare is Economy W class for itineraries I searched on ITA matrix. This fare class earns 25% AAdvantage miles and 50% EQM.

I find Google Flights works well for Berlin flights, but Air Berlin website pulls up lower fares for many other routes. The USA website will show you the low fares in USD, but I find it easier to search on the German website, then you can book the flight on the Air Berlin USA website, if you prefer.

This is quite a deal with some availability over several months. Match with a low one-way Norwegian or WOW fare to Europe for $400 or less round trip.

    Thanks. Was tempted – would have been $238 or so one way out of Frankfurt to ORD on 1 Dec; charges for everything from seat to meals. But I passed on it.

    I could have flown my wife home to California from Germany in July to San Francisco for $450. I think she prefers her business class award ticket already booked.
