There is a $499 round trip American Airlines fare for Hong Kong to Houston available today for travel in April and May 2016. Apparently this ticket was available for as low as $360 round trip around eight hours ago when the deal was posted on FlyerTalk.
Google Flights still shows a couple of $390 round trip dates in May, however, they priced at $550 when I checked the fares. Reverse direction ticketing is closer to $700 round trip for Houston to Hong Kong.
Other low fare destinations in the USA include San Francisco at $540 round trip. Hong Kong to Los Angeles LAX for $604 round trip is also available for all American Airlines operated flights. Hong Kong to Chicago is as low as $554 with one JAL flight segment for Tokyo to Hong Kong.
Most flights include AA HKG-DFW Dallas flight segments.
