I checked 3rd night free room rates at five hotels in Amsterdam, Budapest, Frankfurt and Split. All 3rd night free room rates were lower than advance purchase rate, except for Park Inn Budapest where the Advance Purchase rate was about $1 per night less. The 3rd night free rate has flexible cancellation policies.
Radisson Blu Resort Split, Croatia showed the largest rate savings with this promotion, although February is certainly well outside peak season for this hotel.
Radisson Blu Split nightly rate drops from $102 per night for a nonrefundable advance purchase rate down to $60.41 per night with the promotional third night free rate for a 40% rate savings. This room reservation can be canceled up to February 15, three days before arrival with no penalty.
