As we approach Veteran’s Day in the USA and Remembrance Day in Canada on November 11, this is seasonally a time when the hotel industry runs promotions for active and retired military members.
Wyndham Rewards has an Honor a Hero contest running through their Days Inn brand from October 15 through November 11, 2015. Days Inn is asking loved ones of military (active or retired) to share a photo and story as to why their loved one deserves a FREE 7-day stay.
You need to submit a photo and a Hero Story to enter the contest. The Hero Story is limited to 1,000 characters, so it is a short piece of writing, probably under 200 words.

Days inn is primarily a budget brand, however there are two exceptional Days Inn hotels with Inn at Ellis Square located in Savannah, Georgia and Days Inn Charleston Historic District in Charleston, South Carolina. These two hotels are outliers in the upscale hotel market segment compared to the typical Days Inn and either hotel has a location perfect for staying one week in these popular tourist cities.
