The deal for new members to IHG Rewards Club is earn one free night after two stays and you can earn a maximum two free nights with four stays by December 31. The free nights earned can be redeemed for any IHG hotel worldwide into 2016.

One night paid stays minimize the cost to earn free nights
Since a hotel stay can be one night, this offer allows new members to IHG Rewards Club to earn one free night with only two paid hotel nights at two different IHG hotels. You can even stay two nights at the same hotel as long as the stays are separated by at least one date.
For example, stay Friday and Sunday night at the same hotel and that counts as two stays and earns one free night. You can’t stay Friday and Saturday night at the same hotel under one member’s name, even if booked as two separate reservations. The reservations will be merged into one stay and the two hotel nights will only credit as one stay.
You can do a work-around if you and a spouse or family member or friend book hotel nights alternating the IHG Rewards Club member booking the hotel night reservation.

This kind of booking, where each day one person checks out of the hotel and the partner checks in allows each member to earn one free night with two stays while not having to switch hotels each night during the 4-night stay. Just be sure to physically check out each day and the other person checks in to ensure the stays credit to each member correctly.
A couple newly enrolled in IHG Rewards Club can pick up four free nights for a hotel stay in Paris or London or anywhere there is an IHG hotel through two 4-night stays somewhere at a low rate or on two short getaway trips.

Fall 2014 I earned two free nights from the IHG Rewards Club Into the Nights promotion and those two free night credits were valid through December 2015. I redeemed one of those free nights two weeks ago for the InterContinental Le Grand Hotel Paris.
