Choice Privileges 8,000 points for 2 stays is the primary offer for North America region members this fall. Choice Privileges ran this identical promotion for 8,000 points after two stays last year within one day of these same dates. The deal is simple, but not typically simple,  since this is Choice’s unique twist on bonus points offers.

Promotion Dates: September 3 – November 11, 2015

The Offer: Stay two times at Choice Hotels and the bonus points you receive will be a minimum of 5,000 points or whatever amount is needed to reach 8,000 total points from your two stays.

Trips at Econo Lodge®, Rodeway Inn®, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel®, or MainStay Suites® hotels must be a minimum of two consecutive nights to count as an eligible stay for this offer. These four brands also earn 5 points per dollar.

All other Choice Privileges hotel brands earn 10 points per dollar including:

  • Ascend Collection,
  • Cambria Hotels & Suites,
  • Clarion Hotels,
  • Comfort Inn & Suites,
  • Quality Inn,
  • Sleep Inn

Hotel stays * worldwide count for this promotion; * Excluding Brazil, China, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, India, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden.

Choice Privileges Bonus Points Calculation

This offer is not for 8,000 bonus points after two stays. Your total points earned will include somewhere between 5,000 and perhaps 7,300 bonus points at the high end, in addition to base points earned from hotel rate spend.

For example, assume I stay at a Quality Inn hotel one night for $65 and a Comfort Inn hotel some other night for $85 during the promotion period, and, this is really important to remember with hotel promotions, I registered for this 8,000 points offer before my hotel stays.

Quality Inn and Comfort Inn earn 10 points per dollar. I earn 1,500 base Choice Privileges points for $150 in hotel rate spend on the two stays. My account will receive 6,500 bonus Choice Privileges points with this offer for a total 8,000 Choice Privileges points.

That is a good deal on low spend stays. I stayed for 12,000 points at Clarion Collection No13 in Bergen, Norway last month. Hotel rates were around $250 USD per night.

5,000 minimum bonus points guarantee

8,000 total points is not such a good deal if I spend $325 for 5 nights at Quality Inn and $450 for three nights at Comfort Inn as my two hotel stays. My $775 in hotel spend earns 7,750 base points and my promotion offer bonus looks like it is only 250 bonus points. This is an example of where the minimum 5,000 bonus points kicks in and the total earning is 12,750 Choice Privileges points.

Choice Privileges 8,000 Points after Two Stays T&C

*Free night is based on an 8,000 point Choice Privileges reward night level. Registration required at ChoiceHotels.com/earnafreenight before check-out. Members must book trips via ChoiceHotels.com, the Choice Hotels mobile app, or 800.4CHOICE at qualifying rates. Corporate travelers may book through a travel agent or corporate online booking system. Choice Privileges member number must be provided upon check-in. After a second qualifying trip with arrival between 9/3/15 and 11/11/15, members will be awarded a minimum of 5,000 and maximum of 8,000 bonus points, depending on the number of base points earned from the two (2) separate qualifying trips. These bonus points will allow redemption for a free night at the 8,000 reward night level at over 1,500 hotels. A free night at most Choice Privileges locations requires more than 8,000 points. For Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria hotels & suites or Ascend Hotel Collection hotels, a trip is defined as a stay that is any number of consecutive nights at one hotel regardless of check-ins or check-outs.  For Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, or MainStay Suites hotels, a trip is defined as a stay that is two (2) or more consecutive nights at one hotel regardless of check-ins or check-outs. Trips at vacation rental property locations and stays booked with the SEGEN rate code do not qualify for promotional bonus points. To be eligible to earn the bonus, members must set their earning preference to Choice Privileges points in their online account. Any change made to earning preference will remain in effect after the promotion has ended. Allow 72 hours from check-out for points to post. You must maintain an address in the U.S. (including U.S. territories) or Canada to be eligible for this promotion.
