Noticeably absent from last week’s fare war between Delta and American were discount prices from USA to Germany. Frankfurt and Munich were about the only two major European airports without airfare priced in the $600s for California departures.
Low fares to Germany have been so rare this year that I don’t have any fare comparisons since March 2015 when I started tracking airfares. Frankfurt and other German airports rarely drops under $800 for SFO or LAX departures.
Delta Airlines and Skyteam partners Air France and KLM have Los Angeles LAX – Frankfurt on sale today at $690 round trip beginning in mid-September through December 8 for Sunday through Friday departures. Low fare returns again January 1 through mid-May.
