China Southern has San Francisco to New Delhi, India DEL airport at $699 round trip. This is the lowest fare I have seen this year to New Delhi from SFO. Fares from Los Angeles are $749.
Departures at the low $699 fare are available from September through November 2015. There are only two dates in September at $699 with seven dates at $724. There are 12 departure dates in October at $699 and 23 dates in November at $699 with several more dates at $724. Fares rise in December and remain in the mid $700s for 2016 departures.
China Southern is a SkyTeam Alliance member. This $699 ticket books in economy T class, which earns 25% redeemable miles in Delta and 50% MQM and 5% MQD. The flight distance is 18,336 miles SFO-CAN-DEL-CAN-SFO.
China Eastern, another SkyTeam Alliance airline, had LAX-DEL on sale for $634 on August 12, but the booking class was non-miles earning for Delta or any SkyTeam Alliance airline.
