Radisson Aruba is now Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort

On July 15, 2015 the Radisson Aruba rebranded to Hilton Aruba. The new Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino has 355 rooms on the beachfront.

The hotel is listed as HHonors category 9. For August, this means standard reward nights are 70,000 points per night with 5th night free. Rates rise to 80,000 points in December.

January 2016 sees rates rise to Premium Room Reward levels at 128,519 and another jump to 145,319 during Presidents Week Holiday. Rates finally drop back to 80,000 points on April 3, 2015.

Points & Money rewards are 28,000 points + $125 for dates next week in July, however, I don’t see any HHonors Points & Money Reward availability for any dates past July 31 into March 2016.

Points & Money rates are a great deal since the hotel is around $359 per night starting rates and nearly $450 per night after 23.52% hotel tax.

Two pools, 24-hour fitness center and five restaurants are on-site to keep guests entertained.

Any idea if existing award nights will be honored? Have nights via club carslon from Dec 31-Jan 6th?

FYI – On FT, there are reports of a $17pn resort fee being added to awards booked pre-Hilton. Reports are sporadic so unclear what is happening

I had the $17 resrot fee added and started showing on Club Carlson res. When i called the hotel they confirmed the reservation will be honored as is without any additional fees and they didn’t see the $17 charge on their end..

Anyone who’s booked on Radisson reward points also confirm if we would get free breakfast for being Hilton Gold?

someone else posted that breakfast would be based on CARLSON status for those who booked on Carlson points. even after the changeover. sounded weird to me but may be true.

  • […] Radisson Aruba has now rebranded to Hilton per Loyalty Traveler. I never got around to making it there to take advantage of the two for one Club Carlson credit card deal. Then again, whenever I looked at Aruba I found it underwhelming as a destination. […]
