SPG weekend night 1,000 points to August 31, 2015 and preview of Sheraton free nights offer

Starwood Preferred Guest has a Make It Count global promotion through August 31, 2015 for 1,000 bonus Starpoints on 2-night or longer stays that include at least one weekend night of Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Middle East countries weekend nights are Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Registration is required by August 15. Eligible stays will apply retroactively from June 1.

The 2-night factor limits the value of this promotion. This offer is stackable with other promotions like double points for dining through July 31.

Probably the best earning opportunity with Starwood Hotels this summer is a promotion announced yesterday for Sheraton Hotels.

– We also wanted to give you advance notice of a promotion we’re working on to start July 9th – Sheraton Free Weekends. It’s the richest Sheraton focused SPG promotion in the history of the program. You’ll be able to earn a free Sheraton weekend night for every five Sheraton nights you stay from July 9th – Sept 30th. You can earn up to 3 free nights that can be combined, and can be used at any Sheraton hotel or resort (all Categories 1-7!) through December 13th. Just like our existing free night redemption, these Sheraton free nights don’t come with blackout dates or capacity controls. As long as the hotel has a standard room available – it’s your’s. Registration will open July 9th, but bookings can be made any time.

I’ll cover the Sheraton promotion when registration opens, but keep that offer in mind as you make your hotel plans for July through September hotel stays.
