SFO–DOH Doha Qatar $775 Star and Skyteam fares SFO-BAH Bahrain $818

Relatively low fares, down to $775 for San Francisco SFO-DOH Doha, Qatar round trip in April and May. Doha fare is in the low $800s for several airports around the country. San Francisco is one of the lowest fares to Doha from the USA.

Air Canada and Turkish have the SFO-DOH $775 fare in April. Airfare is also comparably low for flights to to Bahrain BAH on United Airlines operated aircraft.

When Qatar and Bahrain can easily climb to $1,200 fares much of the year, these fares available today around $800 are good deals from San Francisco SFO and other airports. Only a few dollars separate United Airlines and Lufthansa fares from Delta, KLM and Air France fares for several airports checked.

Flights operated and marketed by Etihad Airlines between USA airport hubs and Abu Dhabi only earn AAdvantage miles if the flights are marketed as AAdvantage codeshares. The cost for the same Etihad flights purchased on American Airlines as codeshares is a $1,703 ticket price.

The Etihad $854.30 ticket earns zero AAdvantage miles for the 14,550 miles flown on the two segments between Chicago and Abu Dhabi on Etihad. Round trip flight distance between Abu Dhabi and Doha is 400 miles and 400 redeemable miles is what you earn as a base AAdvantage member for this $854.30 ticket and 15,000 flight miles.

United Airlines operated flights from San Francisco to Manama City, Bahrain BAH via Washington Dulles IAD in K economy class for $819 round trip is another discount fare to the Gulf region.
