You will receive 1,000 points free for changing Hilton HHonors password February 19 to March 8, 2015. Hilton HHonors will no longer use 4-digit pins for account passwords effective March 25, 2015.

I have had the same 4-digit pin for Hilton HHonors since 1999.

The biggest theft I had from my Hilton HHonors account over the years was when Hilton HHonors wiped out 30,000 points for account inactivity from 2007 to 2009 after several years of being HHonors Diamond. That move pissed me off and kept me out of Hilton brand hotels. Time healed my wound and I have stayed in Hilton hotels again over the past couple of years.

1,000 bonus points will be nice. That will put me within about 10,000 points of a what I need for a free room at a place I would want to stay.

The website is undergoing maintenance at the moment and won’t let me update my pin to a new password.

    ha! I couldn’t actually change my password .. and worse, there’s no error making you wonder if it accepted the change or not. What a P.O.S. websute.

    The free points are hardly worth the effort.

    Unsuccessful on two attempts! No indication from website that the password change had been accepted (and, yes, it met all the specified criteria!). Exited and tried to login using the newly created, “stronger” password and received a message this time — “your credentials seen incorrect.” Logged in with my old, “weak” password. Also, no indication from Hilton that I would receive 1,000 points for my trouble.

    Thanks. Changed my password. I couldn’t find anything about my pin and it didn’t say anything about getting 1000 points but was easy enough. Hope it goes through.

    I can’t believe what a glutten for punishment I am.

    Everytime I try to change it, it says “changes successful” “password was not changed”

    the only thing I’m doing is trying to change the password.

    What a crock of shite and waste of time. This is another reason I don’t stay at Hilton. They suck.

    They don’t tell you but they must not like certain special characters.
