Hotel-Airline Loyalty Promotions 2015-Q1 Hyatt Gold Passport Hyatt Hotels

Hyatt’s new personalized promotion provides even more value

Yesterday, Hyatt Gold Passport’s Stay More Play More promotion press release made the rounds in the industry.

The headline captured my attention.

New Personalized Promotion Provides Even More Value to Hyatt Gold Passport® Members

I clicked on the article to learn how Hyatt Gold Passport members get even more value through the new personalized promotion?

Hyatt’s award-winning loyalty program, Hyatt Gold Passport, launches the Stay More Play More global promotion. Now, every visit to a Hyatt hotel puts loyalty members even closer to an exciting vacation, whether it is the warm, sandy beaches of Aruba or the hustle and bustle of downtown Tokyo. Beginning today, Hyatt Gold Passport members can register to reveal a personalized offer for an opportunity to earn thousands of bonus points on eligible stays.

I do not see anything in the press release explaining how a new personalized promotion provides even more value to Hyatt Gold Passport members. The promotion provides more value for Hyatt stays, but is there actually any ‘more’ value in a personalized promotion?

Nope, as a Diamond member they only allotted me 20K for 10 nights. I was planning to stick to Hyatt this year, but this is making me think I may need to head back to Marriott since they must be tailoring to non-Diamond members.

I am a diamond member, when i went in to look at the offer they have for me, it was 50k points after 20 nights. When i went back in on 1/12 to do the registration, it got revised to 65k points after 25 nights.
