Marriott Rewards free WiFi worldwide begins January 15, 2015

Marriott Rewards free WiFi worldwide begins January 15, 2015 for all members who book through Marriott direct channels including Marriott reservations centers worldwide or a Marriott website, including mobile apps.

Participating Marriott brands for free in room WiFi include:

1. JW Marriott,
2. Autograph Collection Hotels,
3. Renaissance Hotels,
4. Marriott Hotels,
5. Marriott Executive Apartments,
6. Gaylord Hotels,
7. AC Hotels by Marriott,
8. The Ritz-Carlton.

These brands join the other Marriott brands, which already provide free Wi-Fi today.

4. Residence Inn,
5. SpringHill Suites,
6. Fairfield Inn & Suites,
7. TownePlace Suites,
8. Moxy Hotels.

Free Wi-Fi for Rewards members is not available at hotels that do not participate in the Marriott Rewards program or at Atlantis Paradise Island, (except for Gold and Platinum elite members at Atlantis).

Gold and Platinum Elite Rewards members will continue to receive free enhanced in-room Wi-Fi where available at participating hotels worldwide regardless of booking method. This benefit does not apply to meeting rooms.

Participating brands include: The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Autograph Collection Hotels, Renaissance Hotels,Marriott Hotels, Gaylord Hotels, AC Hotels by Marriott, Courtyard, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites and TownePlace Suites and Atlantis Paradise Island.

Non-Participating Brand:

Protea Hotels is the hotel chain in Africa acquired by Marriott this year. The hotels in Protea are not yet a fully integrated hotel brand in Marriott Rewards and the free WiFi benefit will not apply to Protea brand hotels. Hopefully this will change in 2015.
