Completed my IHG Into the Nights in 2 nights for $235?

I believe I have completed the five tasks for my IHG Into the Nights bonus of two free nights.

Or have I?

My two stays from Holiday Inn London Gatwick Airport and Holiday Day Inn Express Dublin Airport posted to my account. Yet, only three of my five tasks on the IHG Into the Nights “Track your Status” page show completed.

IHG Into the Nights tracker

3 0f 5 offers completed with Take our survey, Bonus Points Package with breakfast, and Apply for IHG Rewards Club credit card.

Holiday Inn London Gatwick Airport offered a 5,000 bonus points with breakfast rate at £83 GBP for a Saturday night when I flew into London Gatwick from Dublin on RyanAir. That is $130 to $135 USD depending on the bank exchange rate for my IHG MasterCard.

The lowest rate I could have booked was £47 GBP ($76 USD) on an advance purchase, prepaid rate. The additional $55 purchased 5,000 points and breakfast and completed the Into the Nights Bonus Point Package task for an additional 2,000 points.

Holiday Inn Express Dublin Airport was a hotel night before flying back to the USA last week. The hotel stay posted to my IHG account, but the stay has not registered on my Into the Nights tracker yet. I booked this stay through the IHG mobile app for €80.00 EUR which came out to a few cents over $100 with the currency exchange.

Globetrotter Travel 2 times internationally task fine print required a hotel stay in two different countries outside the USA. “Only one hotel stay per distinct country outside of your country of residence as indicated on your membership profile at the time of the promotion will be counted towards this Offer.”

This is why I booked IHG hotels in both the UK and Ireland.

Total expense = $235 USD for two one-night hotel stays in London and Dublin.

Projected benefit = 19,500 bonus points (Into the Nights bonuses) + 5,000 points (bonus points package on Gatwick stay) + 3,034 points (hotel spend) + 2 free nights at any IHG hotel in 2015.

27,534 points + 2 free nights for $235 makes the IHG Into the Nights promotion a good value for my hotel travel in fall 2014.

If IHG Into the Nights updates my promotion status tracker in the next three weeks to show I finished all five tasks for the two free nights.

  1. I didn’t see a place where you can input your preference of 50,000 points or 2 free nights. Do I have the option to choose at a later time? What’s your experience on it?

  2. From what I have seen on the various sites, once it registers as earned, there will be a “choose your reward” link posted in place of the trophy symbol. I too am waiting on the tracker to register the final achievement (in my case spend with the IHG card). An IHG rep has already confirmed that they recognized it but it hasn’t registered. My total cost was $164 (used 8000 Arrival points to cover some of that) for 49145 pts and 2 free nights.

  3. How long did the dashboard register the achievement for applying for IHG credit card? Mine still shows as not completed

  4. After 4 weeks my first stay didn’t show up, I called and it was manually input. The second one after 2 weeks I called and they said to wait another week, I made a bit stink and the supervisor promised to monitor it for me, mysteriously I got the second one complete the next day. When you complete you get an e-mail and there is an option to chose nights or points.

  5. My husband and I both completed our tasks in November. My dashboard is half updated, his has never showed any progress although one of his stays was in early November.

  6. I had problems too….my hotels posted on the stay record but did not populate the promotion.

I had to call tech support/ online on this and they said they were having technical difficulties.

About 48 hrs later it populated.

They said after completing the tasks you should get an email asking which you want..the points or the certs.
