SPG Hot Escapes Sep 24 edition

When to write about SPG Hot Escapes is a question I ponder many weeks. The problem is more hotels are added throughout the day each Wednesday. Sometimes I think Thursday is a better day to write about the offers, but by then there have been several other bloggers with posts on SPG Hot Escapes and the news is not as new. And sometimes hotels have already dropped off the SPG Hot Escapes list by Thursday.

64 hotels on SPG Hot Escapes at 2:39am Pacific time this morning.

86 hotels on SPG Hot Escapes at 3:11am Pacific time this morning.

86 hotels on SPG Hot Escapes at 5:06am Pacific time this morning.

So perhaps the list is now complete for this week’s offers. This is a small list of hotels.

Vedema, Luxury Collection Santorini, Greece at $260 per night for several dates over next two weeks. Many of these Aegean Islands resorts close down for the season in mid-October.

Vedema

Le Meridien Nice, France is $165 for much of October.

Still might be some good sun and warmth in these places.

Castillo Hotel Son Vida, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Mallorca at $135 per night for many October dates.

SPG Spain

Westin Valencia might be a better destination. The stories that have come out of Mallorca this summer make me wary of travel to Mallorca. Rowdy summer traveler stories offer several posts of GrawliX-Files content for Loyalty Traveler. I simply struggle with how to write respectfully about the abhorrent trend of ‘mamading’. The recent experiences shared in blog posts by Kendra and Keri on Las Vegas kind of inspire me to write a post about guys who are dicks and the women they harass.

I am sidetracked since there are no hotels in the USA that really jump out as a good deal on this week’s SPG Hot Escapes, unless you want a cheap room in Florida or Arizona. Element Newark for $113 on weekends is a low rate to try out that apartment style Starwood brand.

But do you want to commute from New York and/or spend your Friday or Saturday night in Newark, New Jersey? Element is a good brand to bring groceries and settle in for a different apartment view.
