My Marriott MegaBonus offer
My offer is Version 2 for 2,500 points per stay beginning with second stay. My targeted offer is the best choice of these six versions for me since it allows earning 2,500 bonus points from the second stay. Three one-night stays allows me to earn 5,000 bonus points over the four month promotion period. I am unlikely to stay sufficiently to make a big dent in this MegaBonus.
I need a minimum 11 one-night stays to max out my Marriott MegaBonus offer cheaply. I currently have several free night category 5 hotel certificates from the previous Marriott MegaBonus offers where I earned one free night after two one-night stays. I’ll be redeeming some of these during the four months of MegaBonus.
Version 1 for double points would be preferable to me if I planned to spend some deep pockets cash with Marriott in the $1,000+ range during the promotion, but my pockets are not that deep.
Version 3 for 25,000 after 12 nights would be preferable if I was planning an extended stay or two at a Marriott, but I have no plans for a long stay with Marriott or any other hotel chain over the next few months. I usually spend points for long stays to take advantage of good redemption value opportunities.
Want a Different MegaBonus Offer? Call Marriott before registering for MegaBonus 2014.
Elite members have leverage for requesting a different promotion offer from the versions listed.
Marriott Rewards customer service changed my offer during the last MegaBonus.
At the time, the courteous Marriott Rewards customer service representative stated it is preferable to call and request a change to your targeted offer before you register for MegaBonus.
No guarantee you can change your offer, but you can try if one of the other versions of MegaBonus might work better for your travels.
