Daily Getaways offer today at 10:00 am Pacific or 1:00pm Eastern is 50,000 Club Carlson points for $247 or $222.30 with American Express payment. There are only 100 sets of points and a Club Carlson member can buy two sets of points.

The other offer is 100,000 points for $495 or $4.46 per 1,000 points. There are only 50 sets of points and a Club Carlson member can buy two sets of points.

Club Carlson sells points normally for $7.00 per 1,000 points. The Daily Getaways offer is 36% off the normal price for points. Buying points from Club Carlson is limited to 40,000 points per calendar year. The Daily Getaways sale today allows a member to buy up to 300,000 Club Carlson points.

The real deal here for buying points is the free night on award stays for Club Carlson Visa card members. U.S. residents with a Club Carlson Visa card receive one free award night on any award stay more than one night.

50,000 points is enough for one award night at Club Carlson Category 6 hotels like Radisson Blu Amsterdam or Radisson Blu Madrid Prado or Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London or San Francisco Radisson Fisherman’s Wharf.

50,000 points will buy two award nights as a Club Carlson Visa card member and reduce the nightly hotel rate to $111.50 per night for a Category 6 hotel award stay. That is a great deal.

The fact that as few as 50 Club Carlson members can buy out this deal, I expect the points to go fast. Club Carlson members from the U.S. traveling to Europe can realize significant savings with a series of two night stays. Spending less than $700 for 300,000 points today in Daily Getaways can mean six free nights at $250+ per night hotels and easily double the return on investment.

Daily Getaways 50,000 Club Carlson Gold Points = $247 ($222.30 with American Express payment).

  • 100 sets available
  • Purchase Limit = 2 sets.

Daily Getaways 100,000 Club Carlson Gold Points = $495 ($445.50 with American Express payment).

  • 50 sets available
  • Purchase Limit = 2 sets.

  1. Please be advised that Club Carlson, within the next two eeeks, will be offering their Flash Sale of points with a 75% bonus points.

  2. @Donna – 75% bonus is 1,750 points for $7 or $4 per 1,000 points and a better deal than this Daily Getaways offer.

I assume this means a maximum purchase of 70,000 points at that $4 per 1,000 points rate.

  3. Yes, maximum purchase of 40,000 points, and then receive 75% (30,000) bonus. But I was just reading some past years’ comments and the FlashSale is only during certain hours of the day.

  4. Sometimes the availability is so low on Daily Getaways that it seems to be 95% promotional, 5% meaningful deals.

  5. @Carl P. – I have no doubt it is 100% promotional.

  6. I scored a 50k!

Has this been announced, or where did you find this information?

It’s strange that the Flash Sale will be cheaper than Daily Getaways.

  8. Nevermind. I see Club Carlson mentioned it on their facebook page. Wish I hadn’t bought 50k this afternoon!
