Concorde Opera Paris, a Hilton that is not a Hilton hotel yet…

Hilton returns to central Paris with Concorde Opera Paris. The hotel is Hilton HHonors category 9 and currently bookable on the Hilton websites. The website states HHonors benefits are provided, yet the hotel is not yet branded as Hilton. That is expected sometime in the next few months.

Rate Analysis

Hilton Worldwide has a limited time offer Summer Sale discount rate of 33% in Europe for weekend stays from June 27 to September 30, 2014. Unfortunately, Concorde Opera Paris is one of about 30 Hilton brand hotels in Europe where the discount is variable between 5% and 33% for this offer.

Concorde Opera Paris has a 10% discount using the prepaid, nonrefundable Summer Sale rate.

Friday June 27, 2014

Double Superior Room = 206 € ($281) or 112,439 HHonors points.

Queen One-Bedroom Suite = 314 € ($428) or 171,360 HHonors points.

The savings with the 10% off Summer Sale prepaid rate is not the best deal for this hotel. AAA rates may be canceled up to 4pm day of arrival.

Double Superior Room = $297 AAA rate

Queen One-Bedroom Suite = $452 AAA rate

Paying $16 to $24 more per night for a flexible reservation is a better deal in my opinion.

Standard award rates, when available, are 80,000 points per night through September 2014.

You might even want to wait until the renovation work is done before making this hotel your choice for Paris.

Hotel subject to improvement works. Access to public areas and facilities might be limited. Full rebranding to Hilton Paris Opera scheduled for Autumn 2014, Hhonors benefits granted already.

There is a TripAdvisor review this week, “The Good and Bad of it all” from an HHonors Diamond member who stayed in a small room, a suite and a recently refurbished room with a good perspective of the current state of the hotel.

Bottom line is there is once again a central Paris hotel for HHonors members.
