One of the new hotels in New York is the $320 million, 68-story skyscraper housing both the Courtyard and Residence Inn New York Manhattan Central Park. The ribbon cutting ceremony for the property was January 7, 2014.

Floors 6 to 23 comprise the 378-room Courtyard hotel and floors 37 to 65 contain the 261-suites of the Residence Inn. The lobby is shared and so is the 35th floor fitness center and outdoor sun deck. The Residence Inn dining area is floor 3 and Courtyard restaurant is floor 4.

Friday or Saturday night by March 3 earns 5,000 bonus points

To celebrate the opening of these two hotels, Marriott Rewards has a special offer to earn 5,000 bonus points for a stay including a Friday or Saturday completed by March 3, 2014.

This offer looks like a good deal for someone staying in New York, especially since the 5,000 bonus points can be earned on a one-night stay.

Room Rate Analysis

Friday, February 7, 2014

Courtyard New York Manhattan/Central Park

  • Standard Rate $219 King Room with City View
  • AAA rate = $175 King Room with City View
  • M11 5K bonus rate = $186.15

5,000 bonus points for less than $15 extra is a great deal for this hotel on a 1-night stay. Longer stays diminish the value of this offer, but even a 3-night stay earning 5,000 points for about $40 more is a good deal.

Residence Inn New York Manhattan/Central Park

  • Standard Rate $229 Studio, King, City View
  • AAA rate = $183 King Room with City View
  • M11 5K bonus rate = $194.65 Studio, King, City View

This is a promotion bonus offer that actually has good value.
