Loyalty Traveler Starwood Hotels Starwood Preferred Guest

New Loyalty Traveler Hotel Pages

This weekend I started adding pages to Loyalty Traveler on the major hotel loyalty programs. My idea started out as simply having one promotion page and one page describing the hotel chain brands for each hotel loyalty program.

Then, I focused on Starwood Preferred Guest and I realized there were many items to know about a hotel loyalty program that are not promotions or part of the hotel chain brand descriptions.

Starwood quickly expanded to seven pages.

Starwood Preferred Guest Guide

The idea of the hotel loyalty guide is an overview of the program. Each of the other pages are the specifics.

I can use reader input on topics and information to include in the hotel loyalty program resources and ideas for other Loyalty Traveler pages.

After seeing seven pages just for Starwood Preferred Guest, I realized this means building over 100 pages to cover the main hotel loyalty programs. This is a project that will require weeks of work.

This is actually much more like Loyalty Traveler was set up back in 2008, before BoardingArea hosting, when I had a website at FrequentGuest.net.

Once the pages are built, the idea is the SPG Promotions page will be the one that is continually updated while the other loyalty program pages are ‘evergreen’ content that will only change as the hotel loyalty programs make changes.

Please take a look at the Starwood Hotels-Starwood Preferred Guest pages and leave any comments and feedback as to whether you find these useful resource pages for Loyalty Traveler.

I plan to make one Best Rate Guarantee page to show all the major programs policies. And I am planning to add some of my Loyalty Traveler post links to these pages.

Are there other kinds of resource pages you would like to see on Loyalty Traveler?

More info on elite status of hotel chains ( I have diamond hilton level) and how good they are at recognising the level at check in & offering upgrades etc.. I find Hilton to be excellent in this regard.

How about a page that compares the chains and shows how many points are needed for a free night/suite, and how easy/difficult it is to easy a point in each respective program?

These are great and exactly save a lot of work by the rest of us who were going to cobble together similar information!
