Hyatt Costco 25% discount at 17 southwest hotels to Dec 30, 2013

Costco members get up to a 25% discount on Best Available Rate at 17 Hyatt Hotels for nonrefundable bookings on stays August 26 – December 30, 2013. Hotel reservations using this promotion offer must be made by September 20. This offer is available at hotels in Arizona, California, Colorado and New Mexico.

One night deposit is required at time of booking and charged to credit card and nonrefundable if you cancel.

This discount offer may be combined with Hyatt Gold Passport’s New Possibilities fall 2013 promotion for 5,000 bonus points after 5 nights and up to 50,000 bonus points for 20 nights.

Rate Rules Confusion

I do not think the rate rules are clear for this offer since there is no cancellation deadline listed in rate rules.

Rate Rules

COSTCO SOUTHWEST REGIONAL PROMOTION Reduced Rate:Tax Excluded: GUEST MUST BE A COSTCO MEMBER AND PRESENT COSTCO MEMBERSHIP CARD UPON CHECK-IN – Book between 19AUG13-20SEP13 – Stay between 26AUG13-30DEC13 – 1nt Deposit due at booking, Non-Refundable

Terms and conditions

Cancellation policy

One Night Deposit at Time of Booking/Non Refundable

The Costco Southwest Promotional rate COSSW shows these rate rules and cancellation policy for Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort.

Hyatt should state clearly in the Rate Rules whether only the first night or the entire stay is nonrefundable upon cancellation.

The regular Costco Discount cancellation policy for the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort states Cancellation policy – Cancel 4pm Mst 72 Hours Prior To Arrival.

I assume the Costco promotional rate is fully nonrefundable since there is no cancellation deadline stated.

Loyalty Traveler Rate Analysis

This is a promotion that is uneven across different hotels and different rates.

My rate searches showed this was a higher rate than otherwise available at some hotels, no discount at some hotels and a good discount offer at some hotels. Rate depends on your dates.

  1. Thanks, I jumped on it as soon as it was tweeted out, and I got a rate at the Hyatt Regency Irvine for $81.75 for Friday and Saturday, and booked each one separately. This is great because I already had a booking there for that weekend.
