Loyalty Traveler Analysis

This 1 for 1 Radisson Hotel offer is the no brainer best deal likely to be around for Q-4 2012 hotel stays. You have more than 12 months to use the free night. This offer is fairly easy to earn a $200+ free Radisson hotel night in a place like San Francisco, New York, Chicago or elsewhere with a hotel stay booked this month costing under $100 in a more budget friendly town with a Radisson hotel.

Club Carlson Q-4 More Nights offer earns up to 6,000 bonus points per night.

This offer also looks to be combinable with Club Carlson’s 2012 Q-4 promotion for earning up to 120,000 bonus points based on the number of nights stayed October 1-December 31, 2012. The More Nights promotion is global and includes all Club Carlson brands of Radisson Blu, Radisson, Country Inns & Suites, Park Inn and Park Plaza hotels worldwide.

Simply complete the Club Carlson More Nights registration formon this page and you’ll earn:

  • 2,000 bonus points per night when you stay one to five nights
  • 4,000 bonus points per night when you stay six to nine nights
  • 6,000 bonus points per night when you stay 10 to 20 nights

I was confused by the wording:

Maximum award of 120,000 Bonus Points per member.

Then, I realized this promotion is not 2,000 points for the first 5 nights, 4,000 points for the next 4 nights and 6,000 points per night for nights 10-20 if you reach higher levels of nights.

A member who stays 6 nights earns 6 nights x 4,000 points for 24,000 bonus points. A member who stays 10 nights earns 10 x 6,000 points for 60,000 bonus points.

Club Carlson bonus points will be calculated and credited in January 2013.

Club Carlson More Nights registration page.

The actual More Nights offer gives 6,000 points per every night stayed once you hit 10 nights. This means you can earn 60,000 bonus points after 10 nights and combine that with the 1 for 1 at Radisson Hotels. These are good value combinable promotion offers.

  2. Thanks! Do you think this is combinable with the triple points B&B special you wrote about on sept 3?
Terms say: “Offer may not be used in conjunction with any other package, promotion, group or convention rate, or any other discounted rate.” but not sure that means free night promotions?

  3. How do I get proof that I registered? No email. They were not able to look it up when I called.

  4. @Ti – I received immediate online confirmation on all four registrations I made for my wife and me. They were not email confirmations.

I copied the confirmation and there was a message stating to print the confirmation page immediately after I registered.

  5. @Amy – I can’t say for sure that these promotions will be combinable, but it seems to me that both bonuses will apply.

It really depends on how they have set up the software as to whether one promotion offer will exclude another.

Generally it takes someone posting about their account bonuses to know for sure.

I am making the assumption that the B&B rate will also qualify for the free night offer, but I am not positive.

  6. Does anyone from the recent promotions know whether you had to be at the hotel to check in? That was a new item added to T&C recently

  7. Ric,

thanks. This is a great promotion.
I have one question. Do you know if reservations made on company travel websites like American express travel will qualify?

  8. […] Radisson 1-for-1 free night limited to 50,000 registrants Oct 1-Dec 31, 2012 […]

  9. I received an email confirmation for the Radisson bonus days after registering.

For the Club Carlson bonus points promotion, I tried to register again since I didn’t get an email originally, and a message in red blocking stated that I was already registered.

I would recommend registering a few times to make sure their system recognizes you.
