Club Carlson Global Giveaway Vacation Sweepstakes

Business Class airfare for two, 5 hotel nights at a Carlson Rezidor hotel and $5,000 spending cash will be awarded to the winner of six weekly Club Carlson vacation getaway prizes from August 14 through September 24, 2012. Contest is open to US and Canada residents, excluding Quebec, of course.

Club Carlson Sweepstakes registration earns one entry.

The Vacation Look Book also lets Club Carlson members earn 100 points per day through September 24 for taking the time to view the book, along with one additional sweepstakes entry per day.

The best way to qualify for additional sweepstakes entries is to book a hotel stay and earn 10 entries per night at a Carlson Rezidor Hotel.

I like the way Club Carlson set up this promotion giveaway. All Club Carlson members can enter, some Club Carlson members have incentive to thumb thorugh the Vacation Look Book each day for additional sweepstakes entries and 100 points, and all guests who booked through the Carlson website earn 10 sweepstakes entries for every night stayed in a hotel during the promotion.

Earn 100 Club Carlson bonus points per day through September 24, 2012 viewing the Vacation Look Book.

Viewing the Vacation Look Book requires less than 30 seconds to turn through 7 pages of photos of Carlson Rezidor hotels around the globe. The photo of Radisson Blu Arc 1950 put that property on my “remember this hotel” list.

After the last page you receive this message:

Earning 100 Club Carlson points each day while looking at photos of pretty hotels is an easy chore. Staying at a Carlson Rezidor hotel and earning 10 bonus entries into the sweepstakes each night is a fair reward for the butts-in-beds active Club Carlson members.

  1. I’ll happily take the 8000 points, but the ARVs on these prizes seem to be a bit out of whack. $5300 value on a trip to Minnesota with 5 nights hotel? I’ve been to the Mall of America… it is, in fact, a shopping mall. Weeks 4, 5 and 6 are decent anyway since the taxes would be more than covered by the 5k cash.

The first 3 weeks: $35k for a 5-day trip to Fiji? 10-12k in taxes, less 5k cash still means 5-7k out of pocket. That doesn’t sound like much of a prize to me. Am I nuts???

  2. Yes, the Arc 1950 looks interesting. Are those slate tiles on the roof?

Values do seem high. Though it is nice that they are giving away business class airline tickets. Can always dispute the value when filing taxes.

They don’t have “Loyalty Traveler blog” as one of the ways you heard about the promotion! They also require you to use an address that is in a Club Carlson account, even if you enter your Club Carlson number. I like using email addresses with extensions so I can tell where spam got my email address from.

    Thanks!
