Hilton HHonors New Category 4 Hotels List by Location

Hilton HHonors is moving 330 hotels up one reward category on April 30, 2012. Hilton HHonors published a hotel list but there is no country, state or city information included on the list.  I have made tables showing the hotels going up to Hilton HHonors rewards category 6 and 7 and hotels rising to HHonors category 5 on April 30 in these two linked posts.

Getting down to Hilton HHonors hotels that are rising from Category 3 to Category 4 shows that Hilton HHonors sees an economic recovery in parts of America’s heartland. Or maybe they just want to raise points since they know more people don’t have the money to pay rising room rates?

77 hotels are rising from HHonors category 3 to category 4 on April 30, 2012. That is a rise from 25,000 to 30,000 points per standard reward night. Only four of these hotels are outside the USA.

Hilton HHonors Points & Money Reward factor.

Hilton added Points & Money rewards in 2011 which improve the Hilton reward value where the standard reward price is cut by 50%.

The hotel reward category changes also increase the cost for HHonors Points & Money rewards for a category 3 hotel night from 12,500 points +$40  up to 15,000 points & $50. The same hotel will cost 20% more points and 25% more cash for a reward night in May 2012. You are paying an extra 2,500 points and $10 per reward night in May 2012 for hotels rising from category 3 to category 4.

I am learning about new places studying the Hilton category change list. I never would have guessed a place called Horseheads, New York has at least two Hilton properties. Sounds like a Godfather retirement community. No disrespect. Probably a lovely place I have not yet visited.

I can smell a cat 8 coming with the waldorf astoria’s going to a new ‘cat 9’

  2. Ric,

You have another overseas property buried amongst the US properties — Hilton Gdansk, Poland buried amongst Pennyslvania properties.
