  Ric, isn’t there a cheaper (cash+points booking and then cancel) to get the points for 0.6 cent/point, making this a $30/night deal?

  I was just about to ask the same thing. I’ve done the .6 deal numerous times (just reserve a $60 cash + point room anywhere, cancel the res, and 10K points show up in your account). Pointbreaks are great tho. Just booked Hampton VA waterfront for Mem day weekend!

  @Jimmy and The Deal Mommy – Sure Points & Cash is cheaper. You can buy 10,000 points for $60. Some people find that an unethical way to get Priority Club points, but it works.

  The advantage of buying points through this sale for as low as $77 per 10,000 points is these points purchases count as elite qualifying points.

  $460 will buy you 60,000 points and Platinum elite for 2012 and 2013.

  Hi Ric, I have travel coming up in June first week and wanted to know from experience when do you expect Point Break lists to be updated for months of June/July. Looks like this April-May list was released just a day before the March 31st deadline on previous list.

  Usually the list comes out about one week before the current list expires. The latest release coming out the day before the March 31 list expired is later than usual.

  @Julie Blake – PointBreaks have been around for several years. The experimentation with Last Minute Reward Nights and One-Day Flash Sales may be an indicator that Priority Club is trying to move beyond PointBreaks. Or maybe not.

  Likely to continue to 2013? I think so, but only Priority Club knows.

  Just wanted to say THANKS – I purchased 60,000 points for $460, used them to purchase a 4 night stay in South Beach, FL using the 15,000 + $60 option – ultimately got a room worth $1850 for $700. Great deal if you ask me! I keep thinking I could have done even better (and maybe I could have), but this worked perfectly for our plans. AND I am platinum for the next year. It’s like a free gift with purchase! 🙂
