InterContinental Ambassador 10,000 points Hotel Hopping by Nov 30

InterContinental Ambassador members earn 10,000 bonus points for stays at four different InterContinental Hotels between September 1 and November 30, 2011. First IC hotel stay earns 2,000 bonus points as do stays at the second and third IC properties. The fourth InterContinental hotel earns a double bonus for a total 10,000 points with stays in four different InterContinental Hotels.

InterContinental Hotels normally earn 2,000 base points per stay.

InterContinental Hotels Promotion Bonus:

  • One InterContinental Hotel = 2,000 bonus points.
  • Two InterContinental Hotels = 4,000 bonus points.
  • Three InterContinental Hotels = 6,000 bonus points.
  • Four InterContinental Hotels = 10,000 bonus points.

Promotion registration is required. There is no retroactive stay credit for stays prior to promotion registration. Also this promotion only applies to new stays booked after promotion registration.

InterContinental Ambassador membership costs $200 to enroll ($100 annual renewal fee) or 32,000 Priority Club points.

Benefits include complimentary room upgrade, 5,000 Priority Club points with membership packet, and a free weekend night with Buy One Get One membership certificate. 4pm late checkout and a complimentary pay TV film per stay are additional hotel stay benefits.

This four different hotels promotion for 10,000 bonus points offers a good incentive for Priority Club members thinking about joining InterContinental Ambassador.

Hi – is it worth joining for $200, or better to use other hotel programs, like SPG?

    Thank

Ambassador is worth joining if you want to stay at InterContinental Hotels. There are no real benefits for other IHG brands.

The BOGO free night, 5,000 points and added benefits for IC stays make the $200 fee worthwhile if you have a few IC stays a year. A complimentary upgrade can be worth $50 or more per night.

Ben – I thought the max points for this bonus was 80K – at least that is what my email from PCR says….

@PeterinCT – This is Ric and I’ll answer your question since Ben doesn’t write here at Loyalty Traveler.

This post describes an offer for Ambassador members and only applies to stays at the InterContinental Hotel brand.

The 80,000 points promotion is a different Priority Club offer and the main fall promotion for IHG. The 500 points per night offer is limited to 40 nights in bonus points. Stay in 2 different IHG brands and get 1,000 points/night. Three IHG brands is 1,500 points/night. Four IHG brands is 2,000 points/night.

Maximum bonus is 80,000 points for 40 nights with four or more different IHG brands during the promotion.

Here is my Loyalty Traveler post on the 80,000 points promotion offer:
