2010 Fall Promotions Marriott Hotels Marriott Rewards (replaced by Marriott Bonvoy)

Marriott Weekend Stays Oct 14-Jan 2 free breakfast and $100 Bonus Bucks

Marriott has two weekend special rate offers that must be booked by October 11.

Offer #1 is free breakfast and earn a Marriott $100 Bonus Bucks certificate when you stay Friday or Saturday night at a Marriott, Renaissance or JW Marriott in the continental U.S. or Canada between October 14 and January 2. The Bonus Bucks certificate may be applied to room rate for a future minimum two-night weekend stay and must be used within 90 days.

Book your stay between September 24 and October 11 for arrival Thursday, Friday or Saturday night that includes at least a Friday or Saturday night. This offer applies even for one night stays on a Friday or Saturday.

When I tried a Wednesday arrival and Saturday check-out for San Francisco Bay Area hotels, The Lodge Sonoma Renaissance was the only hotel eligible for the R6M rate. There are 11 eligible hotels when I tried a Friday night check-in date.

    Hi Ric,

Thanks for taking all the time out to do this. I’m still very new to this game, but I had a question about this particular promo:

I’m going to book a room at the Renaissance Hollywood on 10/16, so I will be receiving the $100 bonus bucks and my folks can have their free breakfast on 10/17. I’m also looking to book a room in San Diego for 10/29 checking out 10/31 for the Chargers game. Probably will stay at the Marriott in Mission Valley as it’s closest to Qualcomm.

When you say that we can combine this with the megabonus promo, what do you mean by that? I’ve tried to search through some forums in FT, but I still haven’t found anything conclusive. Thanks!

Marriott Rewards has a recurring promotion called MegaBonus. The offers are variable and tend to be targeted based on past stay activity and elite membership level.

The primary promotion in the current MegaBonus is one free night at a Category 1, 2, 3,or 4 hotel property after two stays paid with any Visa card.

Sounds like your two stays will qualify for a free night.

Marriott Rewards places all its 3,200 or so hotels in 8 reward night categories costing from 7,500 points for category 1 to 40,000 points for a category 8 reward night using points.

You are likely eligible for the MegaBonus free night offer. Either call Marriott Rewards to register for MegaBonus or you can go online at Marriott Rewards and register for the MegaBonus promotion offer.

Thanks for your advice, Ric. I’ve been on FT and have been asking people if I can double dip the triple miles promo along with the megabonus, but the consensus has been a big fat “no”. 🙁 Still, a free night is a free night, so I’m definitely going with that.

Thanks very much for all your hard work!
